The Story Behind Orange

The Story Behind Orange

Before
Trek Voyagers
Had a Name
THE MOUNTAIN
ALREADY KNEW

It began with a handful of climbs on Mount Tanawan. No sponsors. No banners. No plan bigger than the next ridge. Just a small group of people who kept coming back to the same trail, drawn by something they couldn’t quite explain.

The mountain asked for patience. It gave back clarity. And every early morning before a climb, the sky did the same thing it had always done it turned orange.

The mountain already knew who we were before we did.

Ancient cycad plants with deep green fronds emerging from rocky mountain ground in a dark forest.

Still Growing. Still Rooted. Still Waiting.

And somehow, whenever we encountered them on Mount Tanawan, they felt less like ordinary plants and more like quiet witnesses to our becoming.

The Mountain That
Kept Welcoming Us

At the time, we didn’t know what those encounters would eventually mean. We were still finding our footing. The idea of Trek Voyagers was still blurry. We were still figuring out what kind of organization we wanted to become, what kind of experiences we wanted to create, and what kind of people we wanted to bring into the mountains with us. But Mount Tanawan kept giving us reasons to return.

And the cycads kept being there.

Sometimes they appeared almost unexpectedly along the trail—ancient-looking, resilient, and unmistakable. We began noticing them. Then remembering them. Then talking about them. Eventually, they became part of the stories we told our trekkers. Not because we had planned for them to become a symbol. But because they were already part of the journey.

WE DIDN’T KNOW IT THEN, BUT THE MOUNTAIN WAS TEACHING US SOMETHING.

Some come to be challenged.

Some come to breathe.

Some come to prove something.

Some come because they’re curious.

And some come because they don’t know yet.

And Then Came the Orange

Years later, as Trek Voyagers PH developed its identity, we found ourselves drawn to orange.

At first, it was a design decision. A color that felt energetic. Warm. Distinctive. A color that could stand out against the mountains. But when we looked back at where our story had begun, something felt almost poetic. Orange was already there. In the ancient cycads of Mount Tanawan. In the early mornings before a climb. In the first light reaching the mountains. In the warmth of people gathering before a trek. In the energy that pushes us forward when the trail gets difficult. And in the fire that keeps an idea alive long enough for it to become something real. We didn’t choose orange because of the cycads.

But somewhere along the way, we realized the color had always belonged to our story.

WHAT OUR COLORS MEAN

🟠 ORANGE — THE SPIRIT TO MOVE

Orange represents the part of Trek Voyagers that refuses to stay still. It is the color of movement, discovery, energy, courage, warmth, and possibility. It represents the sunrise before a long trek. The first step onto an unfamiliar trail. The excitement of seeing something for the first time. The warmth of a community gathered around a shared experience. And the fire behind the word Voyagers people who choose to go beyond what is familiar. Our orange is not simply a brand color. It is our invitation to move. To explore. To experience. To discover. To go beyond the ordinary.

⚫ BLACK — THE GROUND BENEATH US

If orange represents movement, black represents grounding. It is the soil beneath our feet. The rocks beneath the trail. The shadows of the forest. The mountains before sunrise. And the discipline required to move through all of it responsibly. Black represents the more serious side of Trek Voyagers PH: discipline, resilience, responsibility, professionalism, and respect. Because adventure without responsibility is simply recklessness. We believe the mountains are not playgrounds that exist solely for our enjoyment. They are ecosystems. They are homes. They are heritage. They are livelihood. And they deserve our respect.

BLACK BELOW

Together, the colors tell a bigger story.

🟠 ORANGE

The Fire That
Makes Us Move

One looks forward.

One represents exploration.

Orange is the fire that makes us move.

⚫ BLACK

The Ground
Beneath Us

The other keeps us grounded.

The other represents responsibility.

Black keeps us grounded.

And between the two is where Trek Voyagers PH lives in motion, but never without purpose.

THE CYCADS REMIND US WHY WE STARTED

Today, Trek Voyagers PH has grown far beyond those early days on Mount Tanawan. We have organized treks, developed trails, brought people into mountains and communities, worked with local guides, and created experiences across Bulacan and Northern Luzon and beyond. But growth has never meant forgetting where the trail began.

Every time we return to Mount Tanawan and see those cycads, we are reminded of a much simpler version of ourselves.

A time when the future was still unclear.

🌄

A time when the name Trek Voyagers PH was still being formed.

🏔️

A time when we didn’t know how far this journey would go.

You may change. The world around you may change. The journey may become bigger than you imagined. But never forget your roots.

FROM ONE MOUNTAIN
A MOVEMENT

🟠 A community.

🟠 An organization.

🟠 A platform for experiences.

🟠 A bridge between travelers and local communities.

🟠 And eventually, a movement built around a simple belief:

Every journey can create something beyond the journey itself.

WE MEASURE SUCCESS DIFFERENTLY

This is why we don’t measure our success only by how many mountains we have climbed or how many people have joined our events. We measure it by the experiences we leave behind.

🧭

The local guide who gains an opportunity.

🌿

The community that benefits from responsible tourism.

🏔️

The first-time hiker who discovers confidence.

🌱

The trekker who learns to respect the environment.

ROOTED IN THE TRAIL BUILT FOR THE JOURNEY

🎯

Preparation

Every trek begins long before the first step on the trail.

🧱

Discipline

The mountain rewards those who show up consistently.

🤝

Camaraderie

No one reaches the summit alone. The trail bonds us.

🙏

Respect

For the mountain, the trail, and every person on it.

🌿

Stewardship

We protect what we are privileged to explore.

🏔️

Knowing the mountain does not belong to us

We are visitors. We move with humility.

Those principles became part of who we are. And as Trek Voyagers continues to evolve from hiking and mountaineering to travel, cultural immersion, community-based experiences, and responsible exploration we continue to carry the same foundation.

We move forward, but we remain rooted.

Just like the cycad.

THE NEXT TIME YOU SEE
OUR ORANGE, REMEMBER THIS.

It is more than a color.

It is the warmth of the sunrise.

The fire of adventure.

The courage to take the first step.

The energy to keep moving.

Before there was a logo…

Before there was a community…

Before there was a brand…

there was a mountain.

And on that mountain, there was a plant that had already survived millions of years.

We kept coming back.

It kept waiting.

And somewhere between those climbs, Trek Voyagers PH began to find its way.
